Liner Notes
Other Notes
Nine tracks (voice & piano) were recorded in CT last November (2002) at Tarquin Studios -- eight new originals and one cover (Leonard Cohen's "Famous Blue
Raincoat"). Peter Katis engineered the session, and contributed mightily to the sonic textures.
Petey, the studio cat, frequented the control room and was largely unperturbed and seemingly disinterested.
At a follow-up session at Tarquin on June 2, three tracks (including the Cohen) were shelved, and six were spruced up with sparse vibes, keyboard bass, soft percussion, and Katis' soundboard mastery. Nothing overdone, all quite tasteful and understated. The RIAA high frequency roll off
characteristic was, to our knowledge, not used.
